Welcome to our official live edition!

This once fantasy love child of ours was conceived in August of 2012, and only 7 months later it’s living and bre
athing, kicking and screaming. We are a Cape Town based online magazine with contributers from all over the world, including France, Canada, North and South America, Korea, England and of course, all over South Africa.

The reasoning behind VGBND’s launch is uncomplicated. We sought to craft an online magazine that we wanted to read and couldn't seem to find; a truism, but honest nonetheless.  We wanted a forum void of pretentiousness and ego that has open-mindedness and creativity as its principal objectives. We want people to perceive the magazine, and its intimate team, as accessible and relatable, not just some faceless d-bags who have no time for the smaller person’s perspective. Because we want to want to be an approachable magazine, community became an imperative ingredient. We love you and all you have to offer, now allow us to showcase that. Show us your cool shit, yo!

We cover anything we find interesting. It's as simple as that.

The magazine does not have full editions that are released once a month. Instead, we have a constant stream of features throughout the month.

We love feedback and are always whilling to talk with you. Holla at yo' gurl!

Thank you for all the support, let us know what you think by heading to the contact page and dropping us a line!
